It has become hard to say no
I have the right to refuse
But it looks me in the eyes
Dances round and smile
Yes I will dance!
Dance! Sing! Smile! And laugh!
It is daring me
“ I bet you can’t do it
You’ve never tried it before”
But then it is the more reason
I must do it now
To prove to myself and the whole world
That I can do it and more
I did dance to the beat
I sang my own song
I smiled and laughed at them
For then I did prove
That I could make it
